Goa

A day at Calangute Beach

We went to Goa because many people think it is a great beach and place to relax, so we wanted to see it. It is also one of the closest dependable airports to Badami. It was far too touristy and we did not much like it. Sort of like a Côte d'Azur à l'indienne. We only spent two nights there and that was enough. Our whole day there was the day of the weekly flea market in Anjuna, so we went to see it. It was kind of fun. In spite of being a tourist trap, prices were quite low and Siv got herself some nice jewelry.

In the afternoon, we loafed around the hotel and John tried out the pool On the way out the next morning, we finally saw one of the old Portugese churches left over from the days when Goa was one of their colonies.
