Obere-Sonnenlagant-Alp

The walk to the Obere-Sonnenlagant-Alp, on the edge of the geological circus at the end of the Brandnertal, starts out from the bridge where the road to the Lünersee crosses the torrent.
We first walked up here in 1984 and the weather was generally cloudy. sj84 25b066 The path climbs quite a lot, in fact, from about 1300m to 1843m, a climb of almost 600m sj84 25b069 Upstairs, it was foggy. sj84 25b070 Lots of Alpenrosen and rocks on this walk. sj84 25b071
In 1984, the old buildings were pretty much in ruins. sj84 25b073 We always saw Türkenbund-Lilie on this walk. sj84 25b075 In 1989, the snow line is quite abrupt. sj89 39b057 b And there was plenty of water in the stream. sj89 39b060
Upstairs, we were in snow. sj89 39b065 Pink Alpenrosen sj89 39b066 One old hut had been torn down. sj89 39b073 Plenty of sheep; they have good wool coats. sj89 39b067
Lots of Eisenhut sj91 46a012 Iin 1991, we finally had nice weather -- and lots of sheep. sj91 46a013 There were lots of young lambs. sj91 46a014 Starting back down, with the water falling in the circus sj91 46a020b
It was sunnier yet in 1996. sj96 55b072b Lots of Gelber-Enzian here too. sj96 55b075
