• Multi-processor: 1 CPU and 10 (or more) “peripheral” processors (PPs)

• All I/O done by the PPs, the only ones to have access to I/O channels

• RISC (74 instructions)

• 18-bit adressing ==> memoiry <256K words (~2MB)

• Six parallel CPU fonctional units
