Up Austrian Alps - Brandnertal » Saulajoch and Saulajochsteig

A gorgeous and all the time changing walk that starts at the Lünersee, goes up and up to Lünerkrinne, then via our favorite and a bit difficult 'Königersteig', which avoids going down into the valley and up again, then into Saulajoch that is one of the most beautiful valleys in the region, covered in flowers of all kinds and leading to our favorite hairy 'path', the Saulajochsteig. We took that path once in a violent thnderstorm when the bottom fell out of the sky and there were waterfalls everywhere where there was a crack in the mountain wall. We held on to the cables that were in the midst of newly created waterfalls. It is not recommended to walk on that path or anywhere in the mountains in that kind of weather. But when you are surprised by a cloudburst, you just have to hold on and make it back down.
