 AbiskoWe caught a bus direct from the Kiruna airport to Abisko, where we took several nice walks. The best was one around the top of Nuolja, with beautiful views over Torneträsk (the lake) and Lapporten (a U- shaped pass which has become the emblem for this part of Lapland). |  Saltoluokta (1)From Abisko, we took a train to Gällivare and, from there, a bus to the boat dock at Lake Langas, then a boat across the lake to the lodge at Saltoluokta. We made a number of nice walks there. | |
 StaloluoktaWe took the boat back across Langas , then a bus to Ritsem, where we flew by helicopter to Staloluokta, the high point of this trip. |  Saltoluokta (2)We flew back to Ritsem by helicopter and had to spend a night there, then a morning bus followed by boat to get back to Saltoluokta. | |
