Tirintha

Tirintha (or Tyrins) is a Mycenaean acropolis dating from the 13th c. BCE. The walls are tremendous.
Tirintha seen from below. It's not real high and is also not very crowded, which is surprising since it's just a few kilometers north of Nafplio. gr17 091609560 k c Looking back towards the entrance gate. gr17 091610061 k At the top, low ruins of former walls form straight paths. gr17 091610081 k The wall here is about six meters thick. gr17 091610090 k
